As we bid adieu to another remarkable year, it’s time to reflect on the milestones, adventures, and transformations that made 2023 an unforgettable chapter in my life’s journey. From new beginnings to cherished moments, this year has been filled with joy, growth, and exploration.
Home Sweet Home: A New Beginning
One of the most significant highlights of 2023 was selling and buyhing a home. So happy to be in our new place, with my new travel-inspired office. It truly is my happy place. And hey, if I have to spend 1/3 of my life working, I may as well do what I love! I’m still located around the Richmond, Virginia area. So not much has changed.
Exploring New England: A Road Trip to Remember
This summer, my family and I embarked on a 1-week New England road trip through the picturesque landscapes of New England. We visiting different areas of Massachusetts and Maine. The winding roads, lighthouses, charming towns, and good seafood made this a great trip. From the historical streets of Boston and Portland to the serene beauty of Acadia National Park, each destination offered us something exciting. Boston was great because of the cityscape areas – perfect for a family! The New England Aquarium, Seaport, you name it! Portland offered us a lobster cruise expedition which was so much fun! And Acadia offered us great views of mountains and the Atlantic Ocean.
During this road trip, I was also able to witness the wedding of two of my good friends Carsen & Uly. They were married in this magical castle, the Hammond Castle in Gloucester, MA. Right by the water. It was an incredible experience, and one of the most unique weddings I had ever been to.
Cole’s Second Birthday: Celebrating Milestones
This year, we celebrated a significant milestone as my son, Cole, turned two years old. The joy of watching him learn, grow, and explore the world around him fills our hearts with immense happiness. He starts daycare soon and I’m very excited for him to have some more friends to play with while sharpening his language and development skills. My wild child loves being outside, going to the park, reading books, and more importantly playing with cars. Which is what his 2nd birthday’s theme was all about: 2 Fast 2 Curious!
A New Chapter Unfolds: Embracing a Role as a Travel Concierge
Professionally, 2023 marked a pivotal moment as I embarked on a new career journey. Joining L+S Travel as a Travel Concierge opened doors to a world where I could blend my passion for travel with my professional expertise. Assisting clients in curating unforgettable experiences, crafting personalized itineraries, and sharing my love for exploration has been immensely fulfilling. Looking Ahead: Gratitude and Aspirations
As I reflect on the year gone by, gratitude fills my heart for the blessings, opportunities, and experiences that enriched my life in 2023. The moments spent with loved ones, the thrill of achieving personal milestones, and the chance to embark on new adventures have shaped a tapestry of cherished memories. In 2024, I look forward to further growth, both personally and professionally. I want to increase my personal sales by more than 15% from last year, and visit at least 5 new countries. It has been awhile since I’ve been on a travel agent FAM trip. Really looking forward to getting back out again soon!
As I bid farewell to the remarkable year that was, I carry forward the lessons learned, the memories made, and the gratitude for each experience that has sculpted my journey.
